• Determines the presence or absence of the mouse.
• If mouse is present:
  • enables the mouse cursor (calls ShowMouse);
  • positions the cursor to the upper-left screen corner;
  • reserves the callback address for the users' interrupt-driven
  mouse procedure (regardless of whether it will get installed or not).
